R&D Specialist

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Food Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years in food product development experience from bench top to commercialization
  • Minimum of 1 year in managing multiple projects across technical programs
  • Minimum of 1 year in managing personnel

 Job Description:

  • To carry on new product development, process and profit improvement projects
  • Lead a team of R&D Junior Specialists and provide necessary technical support to team members, customers and operations
  • Actively participate in technical programs and management of personnel
  • Prepare/review product prototypes compliant with regulatory agencies
  • Prepare/review product costing analysis to ensure that products are within the target cost
  • Develop and carry out standard procedures in the conduct of product quality and product acceptability tests
  • Test and select ingredients and packaging materials for specific projects
  • Establish and document product and process specifications
  • Conduct literature searches or accesses international databases related to assigned projects
