Century Pacific Food, Inc. (PSE:CNPF), one of the leading food companies in the Philippines, renews its long-term agreement with The Vita Coco Company, Inc., the global leader in coconut water.  The contract is valued at approximately Php 14 billion, spanning five years.

Commencing in January 2026, the extension will help support 4,500 quality manufacturing jobs in General Santos, Mindanao. The partners have also agreed to continue to work together in pursuing sustainability goals as well as standards of health and safety, environmental performance, and ethics.

Noel Tempongko, Jr., Vice President and General Manager of CNPF’s OEM Coconut business, shares, “We value our long-standing relationship with Vita Coco – a win-win partnership that has grown meaningfully over the past decade. We are pleased to extend our collaboration and look forward to scaling our collective impact across both our businesses, our consumers, and the communities we serve.”

In 2024, the parties signed a new, incremental long-term agreement covering an additional 90 million liters over five years. This deal involved further capacity investments by CNPF, leading to the acquisition of Coco Harvest, Inc. and contributing to the creation of over 1,500 manufacturing jobs in Misamis Occidental, Mindanao.

CNPF’s strategic partnership with Vita Coco marked its entry into the coconut category in 2012. Since then, the Group has expanded its product offerings and become one of Vita Coco’s largest suppliers, anchored on consistent product quality and reliable service. As health and wellness trends accelerated demand, both partners experienced significant growth over the past decade—prompting a 50% capacity expansion by CNPF in 2022 to support increasing volume requirements.

Jonathan Burth, Chief Operating Officer of The Vita Coco Company, said, “We are pleased to continue our long-term partnership with Century Pacific. Our organizations share a common mission around quality, sustainability, and community impact—and together, we look forward to driving innovation, fueling growth, and creating lasting positive change.”

Over the years, both CNPF and Vita Coco have made sustained commitments to supporting local smallholder coconut farmers—investing in programs that help boost farm productivity, improve livelihoods, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of the coconut industry.

In 2022, Century Pacific, with GCash and impact organization HOPE, completed the planting and donation of 1 million coconut trees to smallholder farmers in Mindanao. The Company reaffirmed its commitment with the launch of Save Our Coconuts, a program pledging another hundred thousand coconut seedlings to smallholder farmers, this time via Coco Mama, CNPF’s coconut milk brand.

Meanwhile, in 2023, Vita Coco launched “Seedlings for Sustainability”, a pledge of up to 10 million coconut trees by 2030 to partner farming communities globally.

As of writing, the two companies have collectively supported more than ten thousand smallholder farmers in the Philippines and donated over 1 million coconut seedlings.
